1961 Gibson L-7C Acoustic Guitar w/pick-up

1961 Gibson L-7CE from the Gibson Kalamazoo Factory Era is in very good condition with a worn original Lifton brown hard shell case. This guitar comes with both an electric pickguard and another non-electric one for acoustic use. The tuning machines have been replaced with the correct reproduction machines, as pictured -- the originals are in the case compartment, along with the case key. The lacquer finish has a few very minor scuffs, as pictured. There is a tiny piece of binding missing on the treble point of the headstock. This 1961 Gibson L-7 CE is a beauty, structurally and cosmetically. The guitar plays with very low action.  There is one volume and one tone control for the single pickup mounted on the pickguard.  It produces classic tones -- excellent quality and full in sound.  When the tone control is advanced to higher settings there is some hiss but the pickup is gorgeous for jazz textures with the flat wound strings currently on the instrument.

The L-7 CE was the cutaway version of the L-7 which dates back to 1932. Like most Gibson archtops, the earliest L-7 and L7 Cs are the most valuable on the market.
